NEW METHOD OF HEART VALVE REPLACEMENT AT JFK
JFK Medical Center in Atlantis has added a new method of heart valve replacement to its cardiac surgery arsenal as an alternative for patients who are not strong candidates for open-heart surgery. “Only 125 centers in the country were selected, and only five here in Florida — and we’re one of those,” said Dr. Marcos Nores, medical director of the Valvular Heart Institute and Cardiovascular Services at JFK.
