Popular television singing competition The Voice has launched two talented Wellington singers to national stardom as they battle it out for a shot at the big time. On Season 3 of the NBC show, Cassadee Pope and Michaela Paige are representing their hometown in their quest to be named “The Voice.”

That job has morphed to his current position as Wellington’s official tennis pro.

OASIS COMPASSION AGENCY PLANS GALA IN WELLINGTON
The Oasis Compassion Agency has figured out a formula to break the cycle of poverty, by giving people “hands up,” not handouts. Oasis will host its big annual fundraiser this year on Saturday, Nov. 3 at the International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington. Starting at 7 p.m., the gala will include dinner, dancing and both silent and live auctions.
